This program seeks to recognize companies, associations or institution's which offer culinary and pastry art programs of various design and size which meet or exceed quality culinary education standards which have been established by the WACS Education Committee. Recognized companies, associations and institutions share in the future development of WACS global standards as the list of recognized programs continues to expand around the world.

It’s core purpose is to set and maintain the highest level of culinary excellence, food standards and professionalism throughout South Africa. What is the South African Qualifications Authority?
The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is a body that oversees the development of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). It formulates and publishes policies and criteria for the registration of bodies responsible for establishing education and training standards or qualifications, as well as for the accreditation of bodies responsible for monitoring and auditing achievements in terms of such standards and qualifications.
What is a National Qualifications Framework?
It is the Government introduced framework that sets the boundaries - a set of principles and guidelines, which provide a vision, a philosophical base and an organisational structure - for the construction of a qualifications system.

It has come to be recognised as an ethical body that works toward establishing and maintaining the highest standards of education and training throughout the industry.
APPETD is committed to:
